Purity Test Questions
Lots of people know of the Rice Purity Test. It is a self-graded survey that tries to assess one's assumed purity or innocence in matters associated with gender, drugs, meetings with the law, along with other"gloomy" activities. It is graded on a 0-100 scale, with 0 being the least pure and 100 the maximum. It then segues into slightly more sexual questions, such as masturbation and fondling of a member of their preferred sex's (MPS) bodies.

The further down you purchase, the more egregious the queries become. As an instance, queries 45-65 intensify from inquiring about drinking alcohol in a non-religious context to becoming convicted of a felony. The evaluation then transitions into explicitly sexual questions. In fact, query 69 just has a question mark. The last 5-10 questions are obviously the very questionable, which range from anal sex to bestiality.

This test was made by Rice University in an attempt to gauge how much college students older their freshman year. It is encouraged throughout Rice's Orientation week for a bonding experience among new students. The first version was given to women.

A lot more models have been produced over the years, each more risqué compared to past. The evaluation has escalated and altered with the times, today offering a wider variety of actions as it did in 1924, but the overall message remains the same. It plans to judge purity, and assigns a dehumanizing number to people who choose it.

The Rice Purity Test might look to be a benign fun, little quiz one may take at a sleepover, giggling and discussing stories. However, the effects of such a test are widespread. The test ingrains to its subjects a lower score makes one not as pure, meaning someone more sexually experienced will be inherently immoral and promiscuous.

It reiterates the age-old slut-shaming messages which women were subject for decades. Women with scores from the 60's or below are regarded as dirty and utilized, whereas girls with scores from the 90's are too angelic and need to"lighten up and let their hair down a bit." Most offensive is the simple fact that people's complicated lives and experiences are reduced to some number.

I had been more experienced than a few, but I was still mostly pure, in a score of 75. But as a freshman at college, my score will be 52. But just because I've ticked off a few more boxes than someone else doesn't indicate that I'm less pure, less worthy, less anything. I refuse to be judged by a misogynistic numerical strategy made to humiliate women for their sexual encounters.
